We sell hangers, not your information*

* Swift Hanger LLC will not expressly profit from the sale of your personal information or browsing history.

Swift Hanger LLC, “Our Company”, is primarily interested in the production and sale of high-quality products, and prompt communication with our customers. To that end, Our Company will retain access to customer’s inputted identifiers, email addresses, and shipping addresses, to facilitate prompt returns and refunds. Also retained are details related to specific times, dates, and quantities purchased. Our Company will never have access to customer’s full credit card numbers or security credentials, as those are processed by a third party as described below.

Our Company may provide an opt-in bulk communication offer for customers who wish to receive future company updates, advertisements, and special offers. Our Company may compile email lists with attached identifiers (inputted names, etc.) and purchasing preferences for those customers who wish to take part in said communications. Participation in future bulk email communications is strictly voluntary and not a requirement for purchase. Further details are included below.

We use cookies that are important for certain technical features of our website, like logging users into accounts and for remembering display preferences.

Our website also uses third-party cookies to anonymously track web usage and analytics. Most third-party cookies are not essential to the site browsing experience other than collecting data on how we can improve the site based on anonymous browsing behaviors and for the third-party advertisers to show you relevant ads.

These cookies belong to and are managed by other parties. We do not have access to or control over cookies that advertisers and third-party sites may use, and the information practices of these advertisers and third-party websites are not covered by this Cookie Policy.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

Send you information about your account and order
Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
Process payments and prevent fraud
Set up your account for our store
Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
Improve our store offerings
Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for XXX years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Data shared with other entities

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Third Party Data Practices

Hosting

swifthangers.com utilizes third party web hosting, development, and plug-in services. Swift Hanger LLC and swifthangers.com may share applicable user and customer data with the companies providing said services. Below is a description of some (but not all) of the third party services used by Swift Hanger LLC and swifthangers.com. Other third party services may be used who have different data policies than those listed below.

Swift Hanger LLC is the manufacturer of the Swift™ Hanger line of products, and owner of the website swifthangers.com. swifthangers.com is hosted on the IONOS web hosting platform, and maintained with the WordPress content management system along with thousands of other commonly used websites. Both IONOS and WordPress may retain and use customer’s web browsing details, or use cookies, per their respective privacy policies, which can be found on their respective websites.

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID, WordPress.com username, WordPress.com-connected site ID and URL, Jetpack version, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Some visitor-related information or activity may be sent to the site owner via this feature. This may include: email address, WordPress.com username, site URL, email address, comment content, follow actions, etc.

Data Used: In order to check login activity and potentially block fraudulent attempts, the following information is used: attempting user’s IP address, attempting user’s email address/username (i.e. according to the value they were attempting to use during the login process), and all IP-related HTTP headers attached to the attempting user.

Data Used: The Repeat Visitor block records page views by setting a cookie named `jp-visit-counter` in the visitor’s browser, which is incremented on each visit. This cookie is stored only in the browser and not recorded in our databases.

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Data Synced: Failed login attempts, which contain the user’s IP address, attempted username or email address, and user agent information.

Activity Tracked: Sending notifications (i.e. when we send a notification to a particular user), opening notifications (i.e. when a user opens a notification that they receive), performing an action from within the notification panel (e.g. liking a comment or marking a comment as spam), and clicking on any link from within the notification panel/interface.

Activity Tracked: Failed login attempts (these include IP address and user agent). We also set a cookie (jpp_math_pass) for 1 day to remember if/when a user has successfully completed a math captcha to prove that they’re a real human.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the JavaScript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, JavaScript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

Online Store

swifthangers.com uses the WooCommerce open-source e-commerce plugin for WordPress, to create and maintain the transactional portions of the online store. swifthangers.com utilizes the Authorize.net payment gateway to facilitate product purchase transactions. When customers of Swift Hanger LLC make purchases from swifthangers.com, their personal information, including credit card numbers and credentials are directed through a WooCommerce portal to the servers utilized by Authorize.net. The WooCommerce plugin will retain customer names, emails, and cart details to facilitate the aforementioned communications between Our Company and its customers, related to product satisfaction, refund and returns, or for the aforementioned opt-in bulk email communications. Swift Hanger LLC, or its employees, do not have access to a customer’s full credit card numbers or credentials. Both WooCommerce and Authorize.net may retain and use customer’s web browsing details, or use cookies, per their respective privacy policies, which can be found on their respective websites.

Data Used: For payments: purchase total, currency, billing information. For taxes: the value of goods in the cart, value of shipping, destination address. For checkout rates: destination address, purchased product IDs, dimensions, weight, and quantities. For shipping labels: customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products.

Data Used: To deliver this functionality and record activities around site management, the following information is captured: user email address, user role, user login, user display name, WordPress.com and local user IDs, the activity to be recorded, the WordPress.com-connected site ID of the site on which the activity takes place, the site’s Jetpack version, and the timestamp of the activity. Some activities may also include the actor’s IP address (login attempts, for example) and user agent.

Data Synced: For payments, we send the purchase total, currency and customer’s billing information to the respective payment processor. Please see the respective third party’s privacy policy for more details. For automated taxes we send the value of goods in the cart, the value of shipping, and the destination address to TaxJar. Please see TaxJar’s Privacy Policy for details about how they handle this information. For checkout rates we send the destination ZIP/postal code and purchased product dimensions, weight and quantities to the carrier directly or via EasyPost, depending on the service used. For shipping labels we send the customer’s name, address as well as the dimensions, weight, and quantities of purchased products to EasyPost. We also store the purchased shipping labels on our server to make it easy to reprint them and handle support requests.

Data Synced: Successful and failed login attempts, which will include the actor’s IP address and user agent.

Activity Tracked: Login attempts/actions, post and page update and publish actions, comment/pingback submission and management actions, plugin and theme management actions, widget updates, user management actions, and the modification of other various site settings and options. Retention duration of activity data depends on the site’s plan and activity type. See the complete list of currently-recorded activities (along with retention information).

Analytics

Swift Hanger LLC will utilize both Facebook Advertising and Google services (including Analytics) for internet advertising and web analytics. These services commonly track user’s and customer’s online activity including viewing histories and preferences. Both Facebook and Google may retain and use customer’s web browsing details, or use cookies, per their respective privacy policies, which can be found on their respective websites.

Data Used: Please refer to the appropriate Google Analytics documentation for the specific type of data it collects. For sites running WooCommerce (also owned by Automattic) and this feature simultaneously and having all purchase tracking explicitly enabled, purchase events will send Google Analytics the following information: order number, product id and name, product category, total cost, and quantity of items purchased. Google Analytics does offer IP anonymization, which can be enabled by the site owner.

Data Used: In order to record page views via WordPress.com Stats (which must be enabled for page view tracking here to work) with additional loads, the following information is used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code.

Activity Tracked: This feature sends page view events (and potentially video play events) over to Google Analytics for consumption. For sites running WooCommerce-powered stores, some additional events are also sent to Google Analytics: shopping cart additions and removals, product listing views and clicks, product detail views, and purchases. Tracking for each specific WooCommerce event needs to be enabled by the site owner.

Activity Tracked: Page views will be tracked with each additional load (i.e. when you scroll down to the bottom of the page and a new set of posts loads automatically). If the site owner has enabled Google Analytics to work with this feature, a page view event will also be sent to the appropriate Google Analytics account with each additional load.
